Each week the GHS Stewardship, Ecological Design, and Gardening Club meets to explore campus, make observations of the natural world, learn about trees, fungi, soil, plants, water, and living things. We observed the winter solstice with pine and wintergreen tea, roasted chestnuts, and walnuts. Students cut back overgrown bushes on campus and used the cuttings to learn to make wreaths!

Congratulations to Eva Dews, DJ Seaver & Vi Walsh for receiving Honorable Mentions for their impressive artworks in the Maine Region Scholastic Art Awards competition!

GHS students have returned from another successful French Exchange Program in Barr, France.

Congratulations to the Boys Track team and the Girl's Nordic Ski team for bringing home the gold this week. Girl's Track were the runners-up.

Advisory enrichment activities at GHS.

Once a month, students participate in enrichment activities during their 30 minute advisory period. Activities range from quiet reading, knitting, playing chess to playing basketball, badminton and other physical activities. There are approximately 50 activities they can sign up to take part in.

The spring like temperatures on Saturday, February 10 th in Fryeburg didn’t slow down the Greely Nordic team, the girls won their Western Maine Conference Championship!
