From the Superintendent
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our Board of Directors for their continued dedication and service to our school community. Below, you will find updates from our Board committees highlighting their ongoing work and priorities.
Communications Committee
Check out the district social media sites for updated photos and information about all the wonderful things our students are doing. Please join us on Feb 5t at the GCA to weigh in on what to name the new school. -Megan Lichter
Curriculum Committee
The focus of the Curriculum Committee has largely been on gathering stakeholder input for the renewal of the district's strategic plan. We were pleased to receive over 700 responses to the Strategic Plan Survey in November and December. At our last meeting, we reviewed results and started planning for focus groups where we will dive more deeply into what we learned through the survey. At our next meeting on 1/27 we will continue planning for focus groups, and we will hear about the scope and sequence work that has been happening related to math and writing curricula.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee continues to work on the One Campus budget and has begun working on the priorities for the 2026-27 operating budget.
Policy Committee
The Policy Committee has made revisions to Policy IJOA: School-Sponsored Student Trips (Non-Athletic), and began reviewing Policy GBEB: Staff Conduct with Students.

Public Hearing - February 5
You helped narrow down the choices, now join the Board of Directors for a Public Hearing - Friday, February 5 to express your thoughts on the two finalists.

School Meals on Remote School Days
Breakfast & lunch may be provided on remote school days. For those who are interested, we provide shelf-stable meals to be sent home with your student. We recommend requesting two days worth of meals in case of a big storm. To request a meal the day before a storm you may inquire with the front office at your student’s school. They will discreetly provide the meals for your student. If you have any further questions or concerns please reach out to Director of Food Services, Jon Carlson at [email protected] or call 829-4824.
