Friday, May 3rd Parking

Space Day is scheduled for Friday, May 3rd at Greely Middle School.  It should be a fun and educational event.  As with most events, there will be lots of logistics to manage.  One of the important pieces of this event will be parking.  As a result of the many guest speakers and presenters scheduled to be in attendance, parking will be very limited.

GHS students will not be able to park in GMS, MIW and Central Office parking lots

Students should only be driving if they have an assigned parking spot.

  • Junior students without an assigned spot - please make other arrangements
  • Sophomore Students - please make other arrangements

Student Schedule and Advisory Survey

We are nearing the end of our first year in a redesigned school day schedule.  The intent was to find the effective balance between Academic Instruction and Social Emotional/Cultural priorities.  As we continue to evaluate, we would like to hear from the student on their experience within the current schedule.  Parents / Families - please ask your students to reference an email sent from Mr. Francis with the subject line Student Survey - GHS Schedule and Advisory.

GHS End of Year Events and Programming

As you can see listed above, we have a full schedule of events and celebrations scheduled through June 14th.  Our students have accomplished a great deal and we would enjoy celebrating with you.  Please keep an eye on the schedule, our sign out front and our social media sites for details.

IB Quarterly

Please take a few minutes to read the IB quarterly newsletter.  It is full of valuable information on our IB Program.  IB Quarterly Newsletter Link

Record Absences in PowerSchool

Reminder

Attendance & Powerschool Update

To further streamline our attendance reporting, families can now alert schools of their child’s late arrivals, early dismissals and full day absences through the PowerSchool Parent Portal by following these instructions.

Planned absences still require administrator pre-approval.  Therefore, these may not be reported in the portal and still require completion of a Planned Absence Form.

Attendance can also still be reported with an email or phone call to the main office.
